Tucked away in the Vindhyachal ranges the Bandhavgarh National Park has dense forests, swamps and undulating stretches of grasslands that provide the ideal habitat for wild animals like the tiger, Chinkaras, Leopard, Chausinghas, Dholes, Porcupines, Indian Bison, Jungle Cats, Ratels, Boars, Nilgais and Gaur. The Bandhavgarh National Park is located over an area of 448 square kilometers generously covered with Bamboo and Sal forests and other vegetation such as dhobin, Sali and saj.

The marshy areas at the Bandhavgarh National Park form the perfect area for the lovely water birds that make this flora rich national park their home. This wildlife sanctuary is teeming with different species of birds.

UHM India offers to arrange for the necessary entry permit to enter the Park. Visitors are not allowed to enter the Bandhavgarh National Park during the monsoon season and therefore the perfect time to visit this wildlife sanctuary is during the months of November to June.

At one point of time in history the Bandhavgarh forests served as the hunting preserve of the Rewa royalty. This wildlife area was designated as a National Park in the year 1968.

Day 2 : Bandhavgarh National Park
After breakfast get on the back of a elephant for a elephant safari trip or take a trip inside the Jungle early morning to track tigers or indulge in bird watching. You can also enjoy a good wild photography on your 3 hour long trip to Bandhavgarh. Return to the resort to get fresh and for having lunch. The Ranthambore forest was declared as a wildlife park in the year 1955 and was accorded the status of a Tiger reserve in the year 1984.

Bharatpur Wildlife

Come and watch exotic birds like the spoonbills and Siberian cranes that visit the 40 square kilometer swampy Bharatpur bird sanctuary during the winter months. Keoladeo is an ancient temple that is situated at the center of the Bharatpur bird sanctuary. This tiny bird sanctuary located on the Delhi-Jaipur highway has an interesting history. This area used to be the royal hunting preserve of the erstwhile Bharatpur royalty. The rulers of Bharatpur held annual duck shoots in the area every year and in fact the bird shooting exploits of the visiting guests and dignitaries have been recorded on engraved stone plaques near the ancient Keoladeo temple.

This wildlife park was notified as a bird sanctuary in the post independence period and was declared as a national park in the year 1982.

The beat way to spot exotic bird species at the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary is to carry a set of binoculars and course the well defined wooded trails on foot or on bicycles. Take boat rides on the lakes located within the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and spot colorful bird species such as cranes, hawks, geese, pelicans, buntings, flycatchers, pipits, wagtails, larks, eagles, stints, shanks, ducks and warblers, spoonbills.

Apart from the more than 300 bird species that make the Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary their home this national park is home to quite a few wild animals such as the Sambar, Chital, Nilgai and others.

Early morning transfer in the rickshaw for a boat ride in the wetland of Bharatpur. Return back to the lodge for having breakfast and lunch. You can also opt to pay a afternoon visit to the Water Palace of Deeg.

Day 3 : Bharatpur - Delhi / Agra / Jaipur / Onward Destination
Drive towards the onward destination in the morning from Bharatpur.
